Adopting a dog from the Metro SPCA.

GET PRE-APPROVED!

When you make the decision to adopt a homeless animal into your family, you will want to become pre-approved so that the moment that perfect pooch becomes available, you will be able to adopt your dog or puppy much more quickly. Pre-approval takes up to ten business days to be completed but it will be well worth the wait! Approved applications are valid for six months and if an appropriate dog/puppy is not found within that time, we would ask that you resubmit after six months. To ensure a speedier approval, please ensure that the people listed as personal references have prior knowledge that we will be calling and also provide both a day and night number.

It’s important to note that if looking to adopt a puppy, interested families must be "pre-approved" to view the puppy. This is standard procedure at the Metro SPCA.
