WAYS YOU CAN SUPPORT THE METRO SHELTER

Donating to an animal shelter inspires images of food, toys, and blankets. While these items are of the utmost importance, there are many other items required to run a busy shelter. Following are examples:

• Volunteer your time and skills
• Have a special skill? Are you a handy person? Do you like to organize? Or Do you just want to be with the animals? There are so many ways that you can help the shelter, from walking dogs, to putting up shelving. There is always things to do, volunteering is a great way to help the shelter.
• Donate supplies
• Any animal or office supplies would be wonderful if donated, here are some species on our wish list.
• Donate Sobeys Autocash coupons
• Autocash coupons are received when you purchase cash at a Sobeys Gas Bar, you receive so many cents per litre. They can be mailed to or dropped of at the shelter.
• Donate Superstore Autocash and super bucks coupons
• Autocash coupons are received when you purchase cash at a Superstore’s Gas Bar, you receive so many cents per litre.
• Superbucks coupons are received when you fill prescriptions at the Pharmacy.
• They can be mailed to or dropped of at the shelter.
• Donate Canadian Tire Money
• Can be used towards maintaining the shelter’s animal transport vehicle. They can be mailed to or dropped of at the shelter.
• Join the HBC Rewards Program Community, Public ID #1002940
• For every HBC Member who joins our rewards community the shelter receives points for each member who signs up. You then have the option to donate your own HBC points to the shelter.
